The Grotte de la Salamandre is located in a Sensitive Natural Area and a Natura 2000 zone. In order to limit the impact of tourist traffic on this fragile environment, cars have been kept out of the way, and a pretty 700-metre path links the parking area to the Grotto. This parking area, left as natural as possible, marks the start of your experience of discovering the Grotte de la Salamandre.
As you walk along the path leading to the Grotto, you’ll find signs that give you information about the environment you’re passing through, the flora and fauna and, a little further on, the rocks and caves. On your return, these visuals will playfully ask you questions on the subjects covered by your guide during your visit to the Grotto.
