In addition to the discovery of the Grotte de la Salamandre with the Guided Tourthe Grand Rappel or the BackstageThe Grotte site offers a wealth of services and activities to enable you to spend half a day or a full day on site, taking full advantage of our beautiful terrace and nearby facilities.
Open to the public since 2013, the site has been awarded 2 stars in the Michelin Green Guide, and carries the “Qualité Tourisme”, “Sud de France”, “Tourisme et Handicaps” and “Famille Plus” labels, guaranteeing your comfort and safety.
You won’t fail to be impressed by the green architecture of the reception buildings, designed by architect Jean-François Daures.
Refreshments, snacks, ice creams and other sweets
Enjoy a drink, snack or ice cream on the terrace!
We offer a wide choice of drinks, as well as “slates” (the caving slate and the vegetarian slate) made mainly from local produce. These products, as well as our homemade ice creams and other sweet treats, are served at all hours!
The terrace overlooking the garrigue – our green desert – is shaded and equipped with misters. From here, you can watch the children frolicking on the adventure course next door.
Store and reception building
The reception building houses a boutique offering original, high-quality products.
Beautiful minerals from the region and beyond, jewelry, organic cotton textiles, specialized bookshop, games for all ages and regional products.

Adventure course for kids
Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to practice the
Grand Rappel
or
Coulisses
. But we’ve also included a mini adventure net course, so they can enjoy the day with you, without any equipment and in complete safety!
A free activity comprising 5 workshops, suspended a few metres above the ground, and accessible to children aged 3 to 12. The Acro-Bambino will give young and old alike a real thrill, until they can perhaps one day try their hand at caving…
Picnic area
For those who want to have lunch away from the crowds, the Grotto site boasts a shaded picnic area with large tables seating around 50 people.
You’re welcome to bring your own lunch, but you can also sit back and relax with refreshments from our bar.
